What ram can my motherboard take?

I bought this old PC for £5 off craigslist and i have been planning on turning it into a retro gaming PC but windows XP isn't playing nicely with 256MB RAM and my games are refusing to start. i want to upgrade the ram but I dont know what ram it takes. according to CPU-Z it takes DDR 400 and i dont know what that is. can anyone help me out?

It supports upto 2 GB of DDR2 RAM, at speeds of either 400 MHz or 533 MHz. That's an old type of RAM, not very common anymore. If you buy it new, it'll be very expensive, but it's possible that locally you can find some used ones for cheap.

You can get old RAM sticks for a few dollars a stick on e-bay.

You can buy that crappy RAM (new) at Amazon. Cost you 15 bucks or so.
