I build a system which contains a pc chips(manufac) motherboard 775 and an intel processor775,my 1st question is, will these two will support each other, i mean will these two works properly? recently i have installed unknowingly a broken ddr256mb RAM in it.so the system works very little. my 2nd question is will this broken RAM effects my motherboard?

It works very little with broken RAM? If it's really broken, either it's going to work or it won't. It's not going to work "less".



And yes, broken RAM affects your motherboard. Take it out.

First off, the pc chips motherboard is a very cheap low quality board, but it is compatible since both are socket 775. Remove and replace the broken RAM immediately.

If your DDR ram is bad, you will get beeps and the system won't boot (no video). If it does beep, fans start, that means your processor is working. If no fans, no beeps or anything, processor is no good or not compatible.



If you get blue "memory dump" screens, then the memory is incompatible. It might run, but will crash whenever it wants.



Check with the PC Chips website to make sure that the memory you want to use is compatible. Please remember that generic system memory may not work with your system. This is something I have experienced.
