Tried replacing the CMOS battery. Didnt fix it. Everything in Windows setup seems fine. Tried a different time server. Has been working fine. Do I need to reinstall Windows? Is my Motherboard faulty?

Windows 10 Pro
Asus Z87-C Motherboard.

Thanks.

Is the hour off, but the minutes and seconds are correct? If so, the time zone is off..this can be corrected by right clicking your clock and choosing settings, or properties, and in the time zone tab, find the one that is correct for where you live.

If your minutes are off, and after you set it, it becomes off again, it could be the quartz crystal on your motherboard is defective. It is extremely rare, but it can happen. If you have an NTP server set to keep your time in sync, it should be self correcting.

The only other thing I can think of is your firewall might be blocking NTP traffic. This wouldn't be set to be blocked by default, but I have seen people to lock their firewall down a little too much.

Right click the time/date in lower right and select set time/date and pick the internet tab and set your PC to internet time. Windows has never been great at keeping time itself.

depends which windows it is. but i'm guessing its a BIOS issue or regional settings issue. and I am assuming you ticked the box that gets the time from the internet. so Update your BIOS, check your regional settings. and check your pc for malware.

Don't lie, you duel boot and do not use automatic time update. Don't lie. Tell the truth. You use Linux.

Did you check your time TIME_ZONE ? Also make sure about the daylight saving option
