ok so i called up my computer guys and asked them how much they would sell 2 sticks of 1gb and they said $90. of course i said screw that and looked up some RAM on newegg.com and found 2 sticks of 1gb for $27. the only problem i have is i dont know if it will work with my computer. i tried to match the RAM i already have in my computer with the one i wanna get so here it is.

the one i wanna get:

Kingston 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 667 (PC2 5300) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory

the one i have installed already:

SAMSUNG DDR PC2-3200

and crucial.com says i can hold:
Each memory slot can hold DDR2 PC2-5300 with a maximum of 1GB per slot.*

so i think it would be ok right?

THAT IS ******* RIDICULOUS. Buy it from newegg. Newegg is the cheapest. Local stores will charge an arm a leg and a lung, so never buy anything from them. Yes that should work just fine, I would recommend getting 2gb.

No, I don't think so. A website to verify the memory type your PC needs, visit the www.memoryx.net.

make sure you are getting the right amount of pins. google search and get specs for your curret ram sticks and see how many pins it has. if it has 240 pins then your all good!
