So i was working on my windows xp computer and i was trying to access on of my external hard drives on my computer. So i clicked the hard drive and then my computer started to freak out. Then, the bottom blue bar thing (haha idk what its called.) disappeared and also everything on my desktop disappeared. So of course, i restarted my computer. Well, now it won't go past the blue screen that says "Windows is startin gup..." so idk what to do. I tried safe mode and last good configuration but none of them worked, and they all just showed the starting up screen. I'm not sure if its just something wrong with my computer or a virus. I just downloaded some torrent song files, but i always make sure that they have good ratings or are legit so i dont think thats the problem...unless it is.
I just got my computer fixed after it got infected with a virus and i just put all my files on my computer so it would be extremely annoying if anyone told me to do something to delete all my files.

As we know, virus and Trojans make the computer malfunction by destroying and modifying the registry so that the computer will not run normally. After the virus and Trojans are removed, the registry is still destroyed or modified, so the computer still has problems. That’s why you need to repair the registry. Also, some virus and Trojans leave some DLL files in the registry and this will cause strange DLL errors and affect the computer performance.I recommend you use registry cleaner to scan and correct the errors.Just follow the below link which is so much useful for you…

Hard drive is probably shot, windows asks for the disk because it can't find the OS on the dead drive. Very common problem with old iMacs as well as PCs.
