Me, being an avid photoshop user, I own photoshop on both mac and pc. To tell you the truth it really doesn't matter, either way photoshop is photoshop, though I will say pcs while cheaper are and a lot more annoying as far as booting up and technical problems, but are more compatible and are easy to upgrade if needed, something you can't do on a mac. Macs on the other hand look nice and have a much better overall usage in my opinion, but are more expensive. Photoshop isn't extremely processor heavy but you should still get a fair amount of ram and an ok processor if you're getting pc. Bottom line if you want something that looks nice and easier to use go with mac, but if you want something cheaper and more compatible go with pc nevermind all that "creative" computer talk. Also if you do chose to get a pc I would recommend building your own: it's cheaper, faster, and you get to chose what goes into it. I've included a link below with an easy how-to guide if you want to build your own.

I have a Axiotron's ModBook tablet PC. I've been in the market for a Mac for a while, since I'm tired of PCs and Windows. The Modbook tablet comes with Mac OS X pre-loaded and features either a 2.0GHz or 2.2GHz Intel Core 2 processor. There is a wide range of available graphics tablets but I think the Modbook offers a plus of portability.

It depends upon how a lot you're inclined to spend and what you are going to be utilising the pc for. If it is just usual every day use, Internet, phrase processing and many others. then opt for the Windows, it's going to rate much less and Windows 7 is displaying to be a far greater approach than Vista. Faster and greater efficiency too. If you're heavy into snap shots, get the Mac. It is pricier, however will repay ultimately, principally should you get one with the brand new OS 10.6. Also upgraded, greater acting and quicker than the earlier OS. I wager the backside line is, how a lot are you inclined to pay, and the way secure are you with each and every OS

Although this is a VERY subjective topic, most people will offer that MACs are much more popular with 'creative' folks and applications that require art/graphics/etc manipulation. That said, MACs are much more expensive, and if your main goal is to use Photoshop, then it is a wash since the same features are available on BOTH platforms equally.

go with a yorkfield CPU like THE Q6600 any quad with for cores or a brand new spanking i7 if you have the money and at the min 4 gigs of ram I would perfer 6 if your pushing some hard programs.
go with pc your get the the dollar/performace ratio rather then a $2000 duo with ram running at 667MHZ and a much smaller Harddrive

Macs are better for photo editing and graphics design, but they're overpriced as hell...
