the version of those 2 processors is here the Intel i5-3570K contains 4 complete cores, this suggests each middle has an ALU and a FPU. the AMD FX 8350 is geared up in yet in a various way. it contains 4 comparable communities of INCOMPLETE twin middle processors. this suggests each middle has its very own ALU yet the two cores proportion a million FPU. this is the bottleneck of the FX processors because of fact the FPU is used lots. ALU = arithmetic & logic Unit (Integer arithmetic) FPU = Floatingpoint Unit the significant concern is now the project of the threads to the cores. this does not count for an Intel cpu yet for the FX it concerns. the cores of the FX are paired a million&2, 3&4, 5&6, 7&8 and assuming you have a software engaged on 4 diverse threads (e.g. Battlefield 3) and the threads are assingned to the cores a million - 4, then basically 2 FPU's could be used whilst the different 2 are idle. as a fashion to get the wonderful overall performance from the cpu the OS could assign the 4 threads to the cores a million, 3, 5 and 7 yet this isn't assured. subsequently why the Intel i5 beat any FX processors in gaming. in case of video modifying issues look some thing diverse. i desire you recognize now how the two processors artwork. the call is as much as you. btw, my well-known cpu is the Intel i5 regardless which kind.

Benchmarks from anandtech and toms hardwareare actually real life cpu performance thus is synonymous to feedback of one who owns it since they are tested in real time.
And if you check out their benchmark results, it would show you that the 3570K is overall better.

If you are JUST gaming just get the i5-3570k if not the 8350 will do better in video editing and streaming.

Ok well AMD like you said is less $$ as well as the motherboard too, but as a con it has a high wattage, probably because it has 8 cores which is also a plus.
Now the intel is much more effeciant per core. and it is a lot more money.
For gaming they are both good, still i think the i5 beats the FX-8350, they even out price wise.
But if u are thinking about the i5 3570k you should check this out if their is a store near you i would honestly suggest getting this: http://microcenter.com/product/388575/Core_i7_3770K_35GHz_LGA_1155_Processor
At this price the I7 destroys the FX-8350 check if their is a micro center near you and take advantage of the offer
