When it's in the loop, at what point does it restart?
If it restarts when it's trying access the Hard Drive to load the OS, then you're having a problem with the Hard Drive or the Operating system it's self. Yes, run chckdsk. Also, you will need to see if you have any missing or corrupt files. I had this problem and the only way I could solve it was by repairing the OS.
When it's in it's loop, if it restarts before the hard drive is accessed, then the BIOS is more than likely corrupt. If the PC powers on, the powers off and restarts within 4 seconds then this is the problem. Resetting the BIOS may work. You would need to pull the battery out for up to a couple hours to fully reset the BIOS.

i might say it exchange into overheating. i might examine that the followers are working. i might additionally examine for dirt interior and supply it a sparkling, as a results of fact it would desire to be static buildup from the dirt it somewhat is inflicting it to restart and overheat. i'm no expert nonetheless. inspite of the actuality that static will make your laptop restart/swap off. EDIT: Is it dusty? To do away with any static enhance (if i'm precise) and sparkling it appropriate, it somewhat is ideal to take all of it aside and lay all the products on the floor (that's what I do, it discharges the static i think of). sparkling each bit with a dry fabric, blow on it and positioned it decrease back at the same time. this might desire to constantly be the 1st element you do previously you pass out and purchase something on the grounds which you may desire to jjust be procuring some thing you do no longer easily choose. Oh. And in case you do take it aside to bathe it (and discharge static) then do no longer pass loopy. in basic terms sparkling the motherboard, disconnect and sparkling the pictures card, RAM playing cards, case, and followers (do no longer ignore the potential furnish fan and heatsinks, in basic terms blow in those or get a toothbrush.) in case you nevertheless have any issues after this, then it somewhat is a lots deeper hardware fault. perhaps your powersupply isn't turning in adequate potential to the laptop. it somewhat is once you pass out and purchase stuff.

Type in chkdsk c: /r this will run a check disc repair and fix any files or corruption on the hard drive next time it reboots.
If running Vista or Windows 7
