Is it possible to buy the parts, gut the bubble, and put modern parts in it.
I.E. Will the new parts fit the fittings, will the tube screen be in the way, etc etc.
FYI. I dont wanna just buy an imac or macbook pro, i dont like them.

You won't be able to get a different board in there without an obscene amount of modification work that wouldn't be worth it because you'd be stuck with a crappy 15" CRT and probably a tiny Atom-based board as I'd be surprised if the power supply in that thing would run anything more than that.
