I'm buying a cheap desktop PC from either PC World, or Currys (Dixons) - but I don't know which to pick.

I have these in mind:

Packard Bell PC:

Dell PC:

Which would you say was the best, and why? Or could you recommend another cheap PC? I don't really wanna go above £350.00

Thanks for your help

Whatever you do don't get an HP. Very low quality and I can't think of any person who actually uses those crappy machines (except for one kid I know who really does not understand computers). Anyways, they grab a lot of customers via their attractive pricing and the specialized parts. For a desktop PC, choose Dell or Gateway. Great customer support and nice parts too. I don't know what £350.00 is in Canadian dollars, but you can get a relatively nice PC for less that $900 here from Dell. The Dell that you're looking at is really low power. Depending on what you like to do, this may or may not be what you are looking for. This computer is nice for browsing the internet, and reading email. Possibly playing a few old games and listening to music. Not recommended for gaming (integrated graphics and 1 GB RAM). There's also not enough processor power to run Windows Vista (the built-in OS) at a reasonable speed. If you do get this computer, downgrade to Windows XP. The Packard Bell is a little better since it comes with a monitor and has a better graphics card. However neither are intended for power users. Both of these are good choices however I personally would choose the Dell because of it's reliability, customer support, experience, and brand loyalty (I know, I know). Anyways it's up to you to decide which computer you want.

an i7 gadget is your appropriate guess for overall performance. you need to have some funds to spend, so flow all out haha. i wish i had greater advice on those desktops however because of fact no you could provide you a stable answer somewhat, the middle 2 ought to blow the alienware or the gateway away if it had the main suitable componets to compliment it, so a techniques as strictly gaming is going. yet oblivion is a lagging gadget no remember what gadget you have, (im useful people will disagree despite the fact that it continually lags now and returned, its have been on condition that crap gamebryo enigine) the sole time I actual have by no ability viewed it no longer lag in any respect exchange into in case you have it working at each and every putting on low with 800x600. its a prior pastime yet nonetheless impressive to look at, epeacially in case you have qarls texture %. 3, and a few different visually enhancinhg mods. (yet another stable one is not any tiling, somewhat smooths each and every thing out interior the worldwide) those video games however, do no longer require a extreme gadget. so make your selection on what you prefer to do heavily, destiny information, or play modern-day video games at popular settings.
