No, not really.



the Core i5-8400 which has 6 cores comes out next week. So why not get that and a z370 motherboard. The Core i5-8400 has a MSRP of $184 usd.



I would recommend the GTX 1070 if you really want to do VR. The GTX 1060 is more like barely VR ready. You can get motion sickness if your hardware isn't right.

Should be more than ok with a 1060 and i5-7500. Next time, please don't list it like that, it makes it really hard to read.

i would go with ryzen over any i5, theres really no contest. if you switched to a ryzen 1500x, youd get 4 more threads and save about 100$. could even go with a 6 core 1600 and still save about 50$.



But for vr a 1060 is kinda low, i would want a 1070 min for that, the money you'd save on switching to ryzen wouldn't be enough for 1070, but its getting you there

plus add good gaming mouse from amazon and its' gonna be great,fast gaming set for 2016 games, and even 2018 and later games.
