Resolution

To resolve the problem, fix the dependency information for the Spooler service.

Click Start, Run and type the following:

CMD /K SC CONFIG SPOOLER DEPEND= RPCSS

Alternately, to accomplish this using Registry Editor:

Click Start, Run and type Regedit.exe

Navigate to the following branch

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SYSTEM \ CurrentControlSet \ Services \ Spooler

In the right-pane, double-click the DependOnService value

Delete the existing data, and then type RPCSS

You probably didn't need a new printer.

Click on Start, Run, type Services.msc and click ok.

Now scroll down the list until you see Print Spooler and right click on it and click Start. If the services starts correctly then you should be able to use your printer. If it does NOT start correctly you have a problem with windows and will need to do more troubleshooting.

call 1800 555 1212 and ask for the 1800 # to the HP manufactor of your printer then call them. They should be able to help you or call Best Buy
