I'm looking to buy a new computer. I'll probably use it to run games (like assassins creed 2, oblivion,l4d2, bfbc2, skyrim, etc.) and media. Looking at hp or Newegg deals. So what is a good price range for this kind of desktop and maybe some models (links would be great)?

$800-$1000 is the general standard for a gaming PC.

Look at the following links to know what you should be looking for, or if you want to build it yourself.

Anything with a good graphics card Nvidia, ATI, Radeon, you need lots of RAM, at least 4GB, and you need a big hard drive, 1TB. Just look for anything that has these specs and you will do fine.
