I have .few errors messages when windows starts up. One says "during a scan of files at system startup potential errors in system registry were found". Then one comes up and says "Windows cannot access specified path or file c:\windows/system32\vturr.exe. Then it says it couldnt load it. Then it says something about a buggy application that might make windows unstable. I am in safe mode right now and tried the restore but didn't work. My computer in normal mode is so slow because of this, I can't even use it. Any help or ideas?

Run anti-virus and at least two different anti-spyware programs. Once all comes up clear, go to start/run and type msconfig . Go to the startup tab and deselect all, then reboot. If registry errors still come up, boot from the o/s disc, and go to the second repair option, to repair an existing installation. This will rebuild your registry, and overwrite the o/s, just like a fresh install, but will leave your files intact. You will have to reinstall drivers for any addons.

Run Avast Anti-Virus to check if any viruses are running in the memory or at start up. Also try to run Eusing Free Registry Cleaner to clean the registry. If that fails try this - go to start>run and type msconfig and to the services tab and uncheck the non Microsoft products that are causing the problems also

Please tell me you don't have Windows Vista, I hear complaints from people I know about that setup all the time.
