My current operating system is Windows 7 Home Premium. I want to have Ubuntu at the same time. Which is better?Which is better ? Get Ubuntu Desktop Edition Windows installer or use virtual pc to have ubuntu?

Download Ubuntu. Burn it on a DVD and install it. It can live on your computer with windows and you can pick which one you want when you boot. It's pretty easy to do. Its option 2 in the link below.

In my opinion wubi ( Windows Ubuntu Installer ) is the best solution as you will be

able to get the most out of Ubuntu ( max speed , etc ... ).

Now if you want to be sure that no problems will appear while dualbooting

Windows 7 and Ubuntu , then you should run ubuntu from a VM .

Remember that both methods are more to explore ubuntu and not to use it

as main OS .
