Does windows xp pro come with microsoft word?

I was thinking of buying a computer at dellauction but I wasn't sure if windows xp pro came with microsoft word or not.

It is usually bought with Microsoft Office but can be purchased separately.



Add about $100 to the cost of your PC if you want Microsoft Word.



Windows XP does include Wordpad. A word processor with VERY limited capabilities.

No. Some companies include a free copy of MS WordPerfect, which is a terrible program. In order to obtain Word, you have to get Office XP. The best option is to get Open Office, an open-source program suite similar to Microsoft Office, only difference is: it won't cost you 100 bucks.
