Is there any problem if my pc is turned on 45 days.

I have got a Genuine Intel Pentium4 @ 3.00Ghz 3.00Ghz

1GB Ram and 80 GB Hard disk.

Would there be any problems if the pc is turned on for that long time ???

The maximum RAM that would be used by applications would be around 55%. About 20% of my HD is also free.

Nope, the servers here have been running for 20+ years mostly and the hardware isn't always that much better.

you may find though that Windows is more liable to crash than linux and also that a computer switched on that long gives a potential hacker more time to brute force a password. However I think it's highly likely that your computer will be fine, just be aware of these teeeeny risks.

Yes, No and Maybe

Depends, if you are running Windows, it generally needs rebooted a bit more often that every 45 days (unless you are very luck)

20% HDD free, well that's about 16G, so it all depends what it'll do in the 45 days.

Make sure you set power save to shut off hard drives if not required, as this will reduce power consumption and prolong drive life, IDEs are not really designed to run 24/7/365

other than that should be OK till you get your electricity bill

You tell us. Some computers lag like a fat man in a marathon after a week; others are designed to stay on, like servers. Operating systems also contribute to conditions - Linux and Unix are widely known to be able to operate at peak efficiency without a reboot for a long time, and Windows lasts maybe half a month or so on average.

Servers run 24/7 for years. A short or a fan malfunction may create a prob. I suggest if you're gonna run it for 45 days unattended you make sure its out in the open where it can get a lot of air and doesn't have anything flammable near it in case it decides to "retire."

Nope. As long as you are not having any performace issues then you can leave the PC running for as long as you want. In many cases running a PC without turning it off can extend the life of your computer. Start up and shut down put additional stress on the machine.

first u r wasting electric power if there is no good reason for doing it.
