Ok I got a new mobo aorus b450 elite. Everything was working getting power but no image from the GPU. So I tried a brand new GPU and still no image. So I cleared the CMOS by removing the battery and also jumped the BIOS with the little pin thing. Still nothing, so my friends and I thought it was the MOBO. So I got another new one from Best Buy. Everything powers up but still no image from the GPU. I tried a new HDMI cable even used the DVI cable still nothing. What could it possibly be? It's driving me insane!

I don't know new technology and I'm not researching cr@p lol. Still another guess judging by your responses perhaps it's something to do with on board graphics and maybe somewhere in the bios there is an option to select dedicated graphics. Is there a video output when connected to motherboard?

Listing the specs would go a long way with finding an answer to your question. You did not give an details about your GPU aka Graphics card, power supply, hard drive, RAM, CPU, etc. It's possible that one of the other parts are bad. We don't know if you think the GPU is integrated into the motherboard or something of that sort.

The onboard graphics port at the back of the motherboard will only work if you have a Ryzen 3 2200g, Ryzen 3 3200g, Ryzen 5 2400g, Ryzen 5 3200g, Athlon 200GE. Processors like the Ryzen 5 2600 or 3600x do not have Integrated Graphics built into the chip.

Ya sometimes you need the usb man

You have written a quite a lot but not told us much.

First why are you changing your motherboard

what CPU are you using

What RAM are you using

You state changed the GPU more information needed

From a previously working P.C If you are getting no image or no signal that means that either Bois is not fully running and this can be caused by RAM ( most common) Motherboard which you have changed or CPU.

If Bios is running then the Graphics hardware which you say you have also changed.

This board supports AMD Ryzen family of CPU's which sone have integrated graphics

A B450 MOBO (AMD) has a HDMI (and DVI, ususally) port on it that will only work if you are using a Ryzen 3 or 5 CPU with Vega Graphics built in (a new generation APU).

Any other Processor (ie Ryzen 3, 5 or 7 without Vega Graphics built in - or non APU) will require you to use the Ports on the GPU.

- and some, if they are older, may not be configured for the GEN 2 or GEN 3 Ryzen Processors yet and may require a BIOS flash.

Go to your Board manufacturers web site for tech support and or refer to the Board manual for proper configuration.

- but the short answer is that if you are plugging into the ports on the MOBO and not using an APU you will have no Graphics as the board itself does not have built in graphics. - plug into the Dedicated GPU.

This might be a dumb question... but it happens all the time.

Are you plugging the monitor into the video card port, or the motherboard port? It won't work if you've got a video card but the monitor is plugged into the motherboard port.

Two things come to mind, some motherboards give you the graphics outputs but have no graphics chip on the board, usually stating the video outputs will not work unless a "certain" graphics card is added. The other possibility is that the monitor input is not selected to the proper input. Say for example it was set to look at a VGA input, then using the the DVI or HDMI will not work unless you go to the monitor's setting page and select either HDMI or DVI to look at.

All cables securely seated?

All memory sticks properly seated?

You state 'new mobo'. If replacing the previous motherboard, is the memory in the old board appropriate for the new board, if transferred to the new board?

i'd read the documentation good to be sure jumpers are right etc on both the gpu and the mobo .. and dont forget to plug the proper power onto the card itself .. other than that be sure the monitor is 'on' lol .. its likely something simple ..

1. GPU fan running? All power cords for GPU hooked up?

2. MB GPU disabled?

Is your CPU compatible with your MOBO first of all? That was a problem for me until I put an Ryzen 5 2600 to my pc instead of an crap A12 9800. Fixed the problem

Some MOBOs have no built in graphics. So you may need a separate graphics card.
