Question:
How Can I Upgrade My Computer to Run Games Better and Increase my FPS?
Do Not

There are a lot of games I've always wanted to play but have been unable to do so because my computer isn't exactly made to be a gaming PC. Games like Raiderz, Blade & Soul, Tera, and much more, have always been of my interests to play but alas, I cannot handle them. Well....technically, I can. For example, a game like Blade & Soul, I can run on my computer, but, My FPS are laughable. Most players complain about having 20FPS being the worst but I literally can't get past 15FPS. On average, the FPS is under 10. Sometimes even 1! It was at this point that I realized I wanted to upgrade my PC to at least be able to manage games more comfortably. It doesn't need to be perfect, but just manageable. I know building a gaming PC is much cheaper and one could buy a gaming PC, but I'm more comfortable with just improving my already existing computer. I'm also not exactly an EXPERT when it comes to this kind of stuff. I'm a bit new to this and although this is all intimidating I've managed to understand a bit of what I will need.
So Far, what I have been planning to get are:
Graphic Card: AMD Radeon HD4850
Power Supply: Antec - 450 Watt Power Supply
AMD Phenom II X4

As for my current System:
Processor: AMD E1-2500 APU with Radeon(TM) HD Graphics 1.40 GHz
Installed Memory(RAM): 4.00 GB (3.45 GB unstable)
System Type 64-Bit Operating System, x64-based Processor

If you think this will help, please let me know or if you think I need more then this or if this will help at all, let me know!

Your pc is really in need of a complete overhaul. the cpu is extremely weak and you have no graphics card. 4GB of ram is alright for gaming, but it doesnt leave much for multi tasking and having stuff open in background while gaming.

phenom II x4 is an alright cpu, i wouldnt suggest paying more then like $25-35 for it however. its very old.

The amd 4850 is also a very old gpu, and id say its not worth much more then like $30-40 at most.

look for something like a used i5-2500K (they go for like $100 used), then get a used socket 1155 P67 chipset motherboard. can find them for $30-60. its probably the best gaming cpu on a lower budget. Then buy a used gtx750Ti or gtx660. you can probably find those for like $60-80

then any decent quality 430-500W psu should be fine.

id suggest looking on craigslist, ebay and reddit.com/r/hardwareswap

but an i5-2500K with a 750Ti would play all those games on high settings at 1920x1080 at high fps. and be capable of playing even the most demanding games on low-med settings at 1920x1080. gtx660 is a little bit better then a 750Ti, and id try to get that if you can.

What kind of computer is this? Any system with a low end E1 processor at 1.4Ghz will not play most modern games (except low end games). AMD E1 systems usually have the CPU soldered to the board, not upgradable (FT3 type of pin socket). It is only a 15W CPU, not much power there. Not a gaming CPU at all.

With that CPU, even if you could upgrade the video, it would not be worth it, the CPU is too low a level..

Thus, you have a system that is not really upgradable to any meaningful gaming machine, sorry....

If you want to try that AMD Phenom II X4 you're going to need a new motherboard for starters. Then you want to get a 4850. Why? Are you trying to build a 6 year old system?

Get something better than that 4850.
