Hi.I am having problems with installing front usb panel header connectors.
There are total 9 pins on the motherboard usb header;2 side by side and 1 less at the end like:

1* - 2*
3* - 4*
5* - 6*
7* - 8*
nopin -10*
I have two sets of usb header connectors for two front usb ports. Each comprises of four wires named PORT +,PORT -, + and - .

The pin assignments of header as stated in the user guide are as follows:

Pin.Signal name..Pin.. Signal name
1.VREG_FP_WSBPWR0..2.VREG_FP_USBPWR0
3...USB_FPP0-...4.......USB_FPP1-
5...USB_FPP0+..6.......USB_FPP1+
7...Ground...........8......Ground
9...Key............. 10.....USB_FP_OC0

This is all the detail i could punch out.As i am not a computer engineer so i need help installing the usb panel .Please guide me.Thanks

My understanding is that there is not any distinction interior the actual connections externally. On a retail gadget the blue connections could point out the USB3 ports and if there have been USB2 ports they could be a distinctive colour. Connecting them to the USB3 on the motherboard could make the ports USB3.

As long as the "key" matches the "no-pin", everything else should line up just fine.
