i had a mac g4 running tiger 10.4.8 and windows xp pc working on a network working in harmony until the mac hdd corupted (due to 3rd party software)
i have the tiger install dvds(BOUGHT!!!! FOR THE G4) but the g4 is not dual core its not even 1 gb memory... soooooo i thoght i would build my own g5 lol... i bought a 3.2 ghz dualcore intel processor and motherbored 2gb memory and a nvidia 8600 hd with a 320gb hdd... then i downloaded jas mac osx 10.4.8 intel (patched) and installed it.... A G5 FOR LESS THAN 300 QUID then of corse the 3rd party software crashed the 300 pound g5 (again). i put the jas os installer disk in and it gets up to loading crash reporter then says
///fail disk 3 <0/1>
or 1/0?
are the installer disks corrupted or is it a hardware fault.
(origionally i only had the 1gb memory in)
also i would like to ask why is their no ethernet support and why cant i install jas os combo update 10.4.9 (from 10.4.8... i end up in a constant boot cycle)... thanks anyway.

Its easy, its not the macs fault, ITS YOURS BECAUSE YOU KEEP TRYING TO INSTALL THE SAME SOFTWARE! Its a bit common sense that if its broke the first one its gonna do it to the G5 as well!

in case you ever took precalculus or another math type which covers properties of purposes, you ways to be sure the area of the functionality. between the pink flags to look out for is once you divide with the help of 0. on your expression, while x = 3, the denominator is 0. to that end, the area is each type beside 3. regrettably, the type you try to plug in (x = 3) is the only type that would not artwork in this functionality. to work out this ordinary hand, you0 can graph this functionality on a TI-80 3. in case you zoom in on the breaking point of the graph at x = 3, you will see that there is a sparkling spot there! that's by technique of the fact, as reported above, there purely isn't a cost of the expression at x = 3. you are able to say, properly curiously like the respond ought to be 6, observing the graph. this seen what the respond "ought to be" is what limits are all approximately. The values of the functionality on the left and precise of x = 3 all pass in direction of 6 as you get closer and nearer. So we are saying the shrink as x is going to 3 is 6. So even in spite of the undeniable fact that that's not technically the respond, 6 is your superb decision. 0 should not be impressive in any experience. the very superb answer is to declare that the expression is undefined at x = 3. This concern illustrates why 0/0 is termed indeterminate. in this concern, 0/0 in a fashion equals 6. the theory that 0/0 can equivalent something is actual the essence of calculus.

Mac OS X needs a driver for the ethernet connection. Check which chip that the ethernet component is using and then look for that driver for mac os x.

The error could be regarding a raid controller on your mainboard if you have a raid controller. If you do you will also need a driver for this.

To check if it's a harddrive fault just connect the harddrive to another computer just to see if it's recognised and if you can write to it.

That's because Macs are expensive pieces of junk!
