Thanks John for all the specs on the iMac.

It is hard to determine the best way to answer your question since it is so broad. I'll see if I can fill in some holes where John left off.

The iMac is an all-in-one computer that was originally designed with the Internet in mind, hence the i in iMac. Apple saw that the trend towards more interactive use of the Internet was coming and designed a computer that would enhance the users experience of and on the Internet.

The iMac computer was the first personal computer on the market to come in multiple colors. Bondi Blue was the first color of a line of 233MHz G3 iMacs introduced in 1998. Lime, strawberry, blueberry, tangerine, indigo, gray, purple, ruby, sage and snow white followed over the course of 3 years. There was even a Blue Dalmatian color scheme.

The flat panel 700MHz G4 iMac first appeared in 2002, replacing the aging G3 CRT models. This desktop lamp design was a departure from the usual all-in-one in several ways, most notably in the way it appeared. Instead of the computer and CRT monitor being housed in one enclosure, the G4 iMac had 3 distinct parts. A base (which resembled a ball that was cut in half) a movable, chrome covered 'neck' and a 15" flat panel LCD. This design was discontinued after one year to make way for the G5 iMac. An all-in-one computer like no other.

The first generation iMac G5 was revolutionary in the computer world. It offered a powerful 1.6GHz computer and a crystal clear LCD in an enclosure the measured just over 7" deep (measured at the base).

There have been 7 variations of the iMac since then. All have maintained the shape of the original iMac G5, but there have been many, many improvements.

Microsoft place of work, which contains word, is obtainable for the Mac. Apple additionally has a software, iWork, which will produce archives that word can open. The Mac OS is greater good and less complicated to handle than any of the MS OSs. What won't paintings with the Mac is the Zune yet nevertheless, MS would not help the iPod the two. in my view, i would not purchase a working laptop or laptop than trusted Microsoft, yet you would be able to desire to make up your person suggestions. And interior the tip, in case you nonetheless want domicile windows, you are able to run it on a Mac. If it have been me, i could sell the Zune and get a Mac and iPod.

It's overpriced. You can get better hardware for less than half the price of the computer if you build it yourself and do some research to find good deals.

1. Why. How. It is impossible for you to think that it is spelled "i-mac". There is no way on heaven or Earth that you could think that. It's iMac. iMac. iMac. iMac. iMac. iMac. iMac. iMac. iMac. iMac. iMac. iMac. iMac. iMac. iMac. iMac. iMac. iMac. iMac. iMac. iMac. iMac. iMac. iMac. iMac. iMac.

2. Info? You want info? Why not try actually reading about it on Apple's website?
