The screen froze and the background had columns of pixels. The music kept playing and the mouse cursor would move but none of the buttons would click. I had to manually reset my computer. It then had trouble restarting. I ran safe mode and cleaned all the fans / vents (they all appear to be working) and it started okay. However i left the room for about 10 minutes and it had the same problem as when it originally froze. (pixels & windows screen had frozen, mouse cursor moved.) It now has the same trouble restarting. All the images in the foreground are fine (icons etc) but the columns of pixels are still in the background.

the problem is your PC Graphical Experince is poor to play the game you are installed.

my advice to look up first for your VGA Card device, is it supported by the game..? the pixel shader, minimum memory, etc..

if can afford one, buy some middle rate VGA type, that cost you not to many.. (choose any from NVIDIA brand type)

then, always to remember is checked UPDATE monthly (if it's possible from the manufacturer site) all your Device Driver component, such as :

- Sound Card

- VGA Card Driver, etc.

the last one is ALWAYS install the latest Directx Software

check this link : http://www.filehippo.com/download_directx/

and this link : http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=2DA43D38-DB71-4C1B-BC6A-9B6652CD92A3&displaylang=en

Because game developers are always using their optimum graphical experience nowadays known every day, so keep it up to date.

well, from your additional details, looks like your PC at the end repairing level is need to clean re-installing all the Windows setup

but first yes, try to check "the fan and the connector" of your video card, whether by PCI/PCI-E or AGP, make sure that it's been run smotth and properly attached.

or if your PC has on-board/built-in Video Card on it, then use it temporary, and disable the external VGA card or take it set back to default all setting from the BIOS setup.

later change it back to it normal condition with your Video Card attached.

hope this works

Good luck

It sounds like you may have onboard graphics and/or old graphics card drivers, hence the pixelation.

I suggest doing some research and see:-

- what card you already have in the machine

- what cards the machine can take

- would a newer pc be worth the purchase for playing this game

I would think that if the pixelation has continued outside the game and after restarting the system that you have damaged the graphics card/onboard graphics with overheating.

There is no way to know for sure, but reinstalling/updating the graphics drivers would be one test.

For more precise help I think you need to post some more details about your system.

this may be some issues. the 1st ingredient i could attempt doing is checking to make confident your video card continues to be working ok and that there is adequate VRAM. Then i could initiate working a virusspyware test in risk-free mode (save pressing F8 at boot up in risk-free mode). If that doesnt paintings i could then rebuild my OS (i'm guessing you're employing homestead windows 2000XP). because of the fact which you had this gadget for a mutually as homestead windows would have become volatile through uninstalls, installs, orphan documents. you will possibly have some registry subject concerns going on. the final thank you to objective to make confident it incredibly is no longer a application concern is to start from scratch, plus it aspects a sparkling build of the OS devoid of any issues.

then run checkdisk... (start, run, cmd, type "chkdsk /f" and follow instructions...

then defrag your hard drive (start all pro. assecories sys. toolsgood luck.
