Is there a helpful link or can someone give me some pointers on how or where i can find this info that is bothering me and slowing down my learning.

My problem is, I am new at computers, I'm taking a A+ class along with computer refurbishing and windows 7 configuration. But out of these classes, I would be nice to know more about path-files and the command prompt right? i mean I found out not all files are in the start menu and windows 7 doesn't teach this and it took me awhile to figure this out. Now,A+ talks about disk-check, win-fig etc. but it would be nice if that is windows 32 system and software is x86 etc. so maybe you can see where i'm lost? it 's like I'm learning how to trouble shoot hardware and windows 7 shows the start menu. but I think I need more info on registry and software ,and path files. so i can know what the computers has doesn't have using that doesn't need like old software that could be slowing down the computer. also, maybe one day might help with manually removing viruses. so far what i 've learned about viruses is do f8 at start up. go to safe mode than do a anti-virus scan. is that it? and yes the bios list the start up sequence, but how do i know what i can remove from programs to improve performance and speed if old programs are running and don't need to be. so this is where I am lost.

with internet It's easier because of pop ups and active x filtering and different browsers.

anyway. i would really appreciate it, if someone can help me with this. I wish there was a quick explanation of all this or an order, instead of what i mentioned in a+ and windows 7 tutorials. ya start menu, and a+ trouble shoot and biosdoesn'tiskcheck, but what do I do? puregistrychpath-filesD and then what? i get a list i dont understand. No direction on regitrydeletedfiles, andprogramsmentioned on how to improve performance etc in programs. I dleted stuff in prigrams and messed my computer up. had to do a factory setting to get it to work again,

A+ is the certification for hardware and BIOS or Commands.

Windows 7 is an operating system package. which uses GUI not Prompt used by DOS.

if you want to learn either install Windows Server or DOS 7.

you can also use

start -> run -> "cmd"

to bring the command prompt.

in DOS folders are called directories, pathfiles means the the full path of the file which includes

hard drive partition + directories + file name

c:\windows\system32\notepad.exe

in DOS autoexec.bat is the batch file which runs the data or files you want run on startup.

config.sys is the files which stores the information about your hardware configration,

not use by windows

stands for directories

windows 32 means the window directory for 32 bits

registries are only used by windows operating system.

gogle for dos commands for better understanding,

i do no longer comprehend why human beings have a complicated time "exploring" a sparkling working equipment (OS). exceedingly abode windows 7 which has comparable characteristics to XP. seem at abode windows 7 as XP yet speedier, with fancy designs that supposedly makes paintings "much less complicated." you nevertheless have a job bar, with a start up menu. you nevertheless have information superhighway Explorer. in basic terms hit upon the OS, quickly you would be flying for the time of it like no longer something. the biggest ingredient is hit upon. It does no longer count in case you had adventure employing Vista or no longer, because of the fact it nevertheless is distinctive anyhow. distinctive, yet comparable in smaller approaches. attempt out those cool tricks I discovered: Open some abode windows, distinctive abode windows. you be attentive to the bar with the X and - and sq. thingy, click on the BAR and shake it. all the abode windows you have open might desire to disappear, conceal. Or, open 2 separate abode windows. Drag one to the left area, it would immediately snap so it takes up a million/2 the very own laptop. Drag the different window to the perfect, comparable result yet on the perfect.

You make a lot of statements but don't ask any specific question.

You're combining or mixing up multiple terms, which is confusing (or you really are that confused).

Yahoo answers is set-up for only 1 question at a time.

And not everything can be answered here - there's only so much room to type.

Ok, so, click on 'additional details' and tell us what you really want to know first. Be as clear as you can on what you do and don't know.
