hi rus

as a gaming rig this has all you need,ok some may say the 8800gt cards are now dated however the 8800gt cards are actually one of the best cards when used in sli configuration, well at least for the price

and along with the 2.5ghz quad core processor and 4gb of ram you should have no issues when running the latest games, infact most of the latest games are being based around the core 2 duo/athlon x2 processors and single core athlon64/pentium 4 processors are beginning to suffer when playing the latest games,i should know,i have a 3.2ghz pentium 4 cpu

the 1 terrabyte hard drive is becoming more popular as prices drop and its also good to see manufactuers like dell shipping p.c,s with 750watt power supplys

games you should be able to play inlcude crysis.bioshock, age of conan and stranglehold, however when playing each game its best to tweak the settings until you reach the best and optimal settings, and some games actually have a "auto-detect" option that will set your pc to the best settings for that specific game

good luck mate !

Looks like over kill to me.

What ever you do With two 8800's make sure you have lots of fan and air circulation is great That card is known for heat and two of them would scare me. No way would I use two of those cards

Also what amount of memory are you going with on those cards?

And remember if you are running 4 GB ram on a computer you need a 64 bit operating system or the system can not take advantage of all the memory.

Not sure about Vista 64 bit yet still had some bugs last time I checked so XP 64 bit may be better.

Personally 1 TB hard drive is like so over kill i would go with 2 one small one for operating and programs and another larger for file keeping etc

Actually i prefer a 500 GB in the system and than keep all my files on a external

All that we really need is the RAM, Processor and Graphic Card. But yeah, pretty good quality graphics. Just set everything up correctly and there you go.

Hope this helps.

That will game very well. Heres a couple pages of gaming benchmarks and it shows how 2 8800GTs in SLI do:

Vista - 5/5

Intel Core 2 Quad Q9300 2.5GHz - 4/5 (Q9450 for the 5):http://www.aria.co.uk/Products/Components/CPUs+%2F+Processors/Intel/Core+2+Duo/Intel+Core+2+Quad+Q9450+2.66GHz+(OEM+775)+?productId=30934

750W PSU - 4/5 (800W+ for the 5):http://www.aria.co.uk/Products/Components/Power+Supplies/500w+%2B/Xilence+800w+Gaming+Edition+PSU+?productId=26716

4GB RAM - depending on speed and setup between 3/5 and 4.5/5 (4GB dual channel DDR2-800 or better):http://www.aria.co.uk/Products/Components/Memory/DDR2/DDR2+800+(PC6400)/Patriot+4GB+PC2-6400+C4+Extreme+Performance+(2x2GB)+?productId=29114

1TB HDD - 4.5/5 (F1 1TB for the 5):http://www.aria.co.uk/SuperSpecials/Other+products/1TB+Samsung+Spinpoint+F1+SATA2+7200RPM+32MB+cache+?productId=30998

2x 8800GT in SLI - 2/5 (get a ATI HD4870X2 in single GPU for the 5 - multi-separate-GPU is very, very bad at the moment): http://www.aria.co.uk/Products/Components/Graphics+Cards/PCI-E/ATI+Radeon+4000+Series/Sapphire+HD+4870+X2+2GB+PCI-E2.0+?productId=33273 (if this is too expensive then settle for a normal 4870).

Due to your SLI setup you may only be able to run Crysis on High with 2x AA, but with the setup I've given you using the 4870X2 and some serious cooling and overclocking, you should be able to run Crysis at Very High detail and 8x AA.
