I had a Toshiba laptop...it stopped working. I had someone put all my music and video files on to disks. Now I have a new desktop, which run Vista. Is there an easy way to put the music on the disks on to my windows media player? I put the disk in and it pops up some options on how I want it read. Any thoughts or advice you can give me would be much appreciated, thanks.

All you need to do is to copy them off the disc and into your "Music" and "Video" folders accessible from the start menu. Then, assuming you are using Windows Media Player, it should add them to your library automatically. If it doesn't, just use the "Add files to library" option and tell it to look in those folders.

Good Luck!

If you don't want to keep putting disks in you can copy them all to a folder on your hard drive such as Music/My Music in your documents folder.. Then in Windows Media Player press F3 and select My folders and those of others that I can access and browse to the folder. Media Player will then add all media files it finds to your music library and monitor that folder for changes.

in the adventure that your mp3 participant is an ipod, then all the songs might desire to circulate by way of itunes earlier they are in a position to circulate on on your ipod. this could be finished via looking out the place all the music archives saved in wmp are on your pc, and then syncing that folder with itunes. after that, that's an ordinary drag and drop. in the adventure that your mp3 is different than an ipod, then it usualy has a software the place you are able to decide on which folders to function music from. as long as you recognize the place your music is saved, it won't be puzzling. the only places you would be waiting to proportion music for unfastened could be issues like morpheus, winmx, etc. yet those are not precisely copyright criminal. desire each and everything is going nicely (btw, you may desire to intricate on which mp3 participant you have, so extra particular information can receive)
