I don't know very much about the computer other than when I play the sound the audio is messed up. What could be the problem. Would it be that I don't have enough ram or that I need a better video card? The lady told me that when she checks even her email the sound is choppy.

you may locate that some video games written for xp won't run on vista as with vista video games no longer working on xp . if the o/s say's xp or vista then that is going to run better on vista and could crash on xp. if the o/s is xp then in spite of in case you may get patches to load it on vista that is going to do what you have become attempt loadind a twin o/s vista/xp . you may could placed a 2d hdd in to assist it or you will be ok and it will load on the comparable hdd you have .
