I have this icon on my desktop,of NFS,and I want to erase it,but every time it tells me that it cannot because it is being used by another program.I checked my downloading programs, but none of them uses it.What could it be?I can't move nor erase that icon from my desktop, and I am not using it.It is a file that can open only with Nero6 and I took it from a CD...does this have to do something with the fact I can't controle it?Did something like this happen to you too?If you can,pls help me. 10 points for the best answerer that will give me the solution! Try right clking the icon and select Properties.

Clk on the top tabs and read what comes up, it may give you more info. on the icon so you can figure out what it is and how to delete it.

If you gain any more info. and still need help: repost the question with all the info.

Good luck

If you are doing something when you are trying to erase it, try exiting it, and then erasing it. And if that doesn't work, well, I don't know. But if you are using it accidently, and the computer won't tell you, nothing will delte while you are using it. I don't think I'm being very clear. If you are using a program, the program will not dlete while it the program you are trying to delete is being run, so, you can't delete something while you are using it.

1. Is this "icon" an image of NFS that you took and have it loaded in some sort of virtual drive? If so, then you may need to open up the virtual drive and "eject" the image. By doing so, you should be able to remove the file accordingly.

2. In regards to removing the file despite Windows saying otherwise, you might be interesting in a free utility called ForceDel.

restart your computer and try it again. If it is being used by something, after the restart it won't be anymore.
