CM 690 ii advanced front LED button turns off PC?

I've built my pc and there's a problem when i press the LED button on the case to turn the front LED fan light on. When i press the button it just turns off my computer and i have to turn it off at the wall and back on again for it to work, im guessing this is because it shortens my power supply and the connection is wrong.

The fan works but when I press the button it just turns off my pc. Please help

The only thing I can think of is that you have connected the front panel pins to the motherboard incorrectly. The connections that are inside Your case that are labelled "power sw", "hdd led" etc. It's also important to make sure you get the polarities (plus and minus) the correct way round as well. Look at your motherboards instruction manual diagram again.

Have a look at your motherboard manual and then have a look at the diagram, you have most likely put the connectors in the wrong ports so unplug them and start again, make sure you look at the diagram carefully.

feels like the header wires are appropriate incorrect , you recognize from the front panel to the motherboard ,{hdd led +/ Hdd led - , power swap+ / power swap -, etc } may opt to relook on the wiring diagram and that connection to the motherboard lots of the connectors are contained in the incorrect position
