Is there a way to get more RAM by deleting files on your computer? I have 248MB of RAM and I need 256MB. Are there certain types of files that I can delete to give myself the 8MB that I need?

RAM is random access memory, it is used by your computer for anything (running programs, playing music etc). If you are playing music, the music will be moved onto the RAM because it is faster than a HDD.
When you turn off your computer, the RAM is sort of formatted. Everything is removed from it. It is only used when needed by programs etc, and wen not needed, it is wiped clean. Deleting files will only reduce the memory being used by your hard drive (HDD) and will in no way affect RAM. The only way to upgrade ram is to buy more of it. Find out what type of RAM is needed, and look online for it. It is cheap, and will dramatically improve performance

You have to buy RAM, it is a computer chip that you install in your computer. You can not delete files to get more RAM, deleting files only gives you more room on your hard drive, or more storage.

nope, to get more ram for your computer you must either add on additional ram or you can replace your ram with a higher capacity.
if you would delete files, then what you are increasing is the space on your hard disk and not the ram capacity.
hope that helps!!

Why are you shouting? It does no good to delete stuff from the hard drive there is no memory there. Ram is memory so get more RAM
