Sorry to Voo Doo Pirate, there is no problem with most of your answer and I am not going to re-write it. The problem is the CPU ports, though technically we don't use Central Processing Units anymore we use microprocessors. The microprocessor does have ports they are accessed via software using the Assembler Language commands IN and Out, the keyboard and hard drives even the BIOS ram are attached directly to the microprocessor ports. It is possible to address up 65536 ports. If the microprocessor had no input/output port then it would be necessary to forfeit ram and attach an input/output device, example, lose the first 256 bytes of ram and then if the software addresses the any of the first 256 bytes the input/output device is activated via a device called a multiplexer.
Fozia, if you want to know more about any of this then got to the Intel website and download the PDF files about their microprocessors. These files will tell you all about the internal workings of the Intel microprocessors.

USB or Universal Serial Bus is the thing you usually connect your printer, mouse, keyboard, thumb drive....any peripheral you can imagine. I can't think of a reason why they would use the word "CPU Port" as such a thing does not exist, and for that matter, a normal computer user would never be concerned with a CPU socket on the motherboard. Especially for a wireless network connection. Now PCI would make sense because most network cards, wired and wireless use either USB for an external antenna, or the PCI expansion slots on the motherboard for an internal option.
A flash drive is any storage medium that uses solid state memory, this includes thumb drives, SD-Cards, memory sticks....anything that has no moving parts to store information.
ADSL - Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line: A form of broadband internet that uses the phone line and the spectrum that does not involve voice from phones to communicate and download information.
