You should be able to. According to the compatibility chart: http://www.intel.com/support/motherboards/desktop/sb/CS-008326.htm for the compatibility list, you can.

A few points however:

1) You have 2 x 2GB memory sticks. WinXP (32 bit) will not be able to use 100% of you 4GB of RAM. If you have 64 bit WinXP, you will be fine. To attempt to use the entire 4GB of RAM in WinXP 32 bit, you need special memory drivers (can't find location right now) to enable access to the memory that is between 3.65 GB and 4GB. I tried this on a system and had many issues.

2) Depending on the configuration options on the motherboard, you might have to disable SATA RAID in order to have the WinXP installer recognize the hard drive.

If you can afford to purchase Win 7 or Win Vista, I would recommend that for many reasons, including security patches and better memory access for your hardware.

Of course it supports it. Processors all work the same. And you prolly cannot install XP because your MBR only supports Vista/7. Windows 7 sucks

If you are the average user I would NOT play with the MBR
