my system specs is as follows- Mother board- Asus P5ND, 4 GB RAM ( Transcend 2GB x 2 ), Samsung 1TB HDD, Intel Core 2Quad Q6600, Nvidia GTX 465 and 600w SMPS. My problem started a few days ago when i was downloading something by u torrent, at that time i was using windows7 ultimate edition, then suddenly my system restarted and hanged on the welcome screen. I tried several times but it kept hanging on the welcome screen even after reformatting. so i finally formatted in xp but now even after installing all the drivers my system shows found new hardware for my audio device though i have already installed all the drivers. even on device manager it shows audio device on high end audio bus in yellow colour. and most of the time my system keeps hanging, i cant even move the mouse cursor so i have to hard reboot again. mostly while installing any software or launching nvidia control panel my system hangs. so i need some professional help coz i dont think the local hardware guyz can even help me. so if u r not a professional then pls dont even bother to answer. its a very serious problem and i need help immediately.

Then HIRE A PROFESSIONAL dip-s h i t.

But I'm sure you connected your front audio panels on the the mother board wrong.

You can not use the front and back audios at the same time or system will crash and you can even damage your mobo.

Virus my foot.

I mean, it is possible that the torrent you downloaded was infected with a virus, but you said even after formatting and reinstalling the problem persists.

I would be more worried about your RAM in this instance. Trancend is not a company that I use, and RAM problems are tough to isolate. Try just running one stick at a time, see if the problem happens with only one of the chips installed.

If one works fine, and the other hangs, you know you have a bad module.

if ur looking to play crisis or latest games don't get the best card eg:8800 coz even a 9600gt will eat the latest games so dont bother getting a £400 card unless ur running at 2560x1600 besides SLi system will tear ur eletricity bills a top end card requires 400-500 watts minium

Maybe it is trying to download the motherboard's audio device, if you've installed a stand-alone one.

I had this type of restart problem before. My problem is from my both keyboard & mouse. try another mouse & keyboard. (borrow them from someone for trying). for your audio driver uninstall it's driver & then reinstall it again.
