Any computer could handle those games, even an old one. But that HP is ripping you off with things like a $10 video card which won't be so hot if you try to play more spectacular games. You could upgrade any computer with about $100-$150 to match it. So yes it will play those games no it's not a gaming computer at all. If you already have a computer then pop a cheap $30 video card into it, upgrade the RAM to at least 2 GB (even cheap RAM is ok) and you should be good to go. Or heck, spring for a fancy $70-100 video card it'll be 10 times faster and you'll be ready for future games. Hey look, I just saved you over $570.

Or if you want to play more serious games... Go to tomshardware.com and find reviews for the best value video card. Expect to put around $150-$250+ into the video card; that's the biggest part. From there get a lot of RAM, totaling at least 8 GB, maybe 4 GB on a cheap computer. 4-4-4-12 latency is nice but even 5-5-5-15 is okay (lower is better). You need 2 or 4 matching sticks not 1 stick. It's more important to get a lot of it than to get it fast. Because if you run out of RAM your computer will use your hard drive which is 10 times slower than the worst RAM. The CPU isn't very important for games so you can go cheap there if you want. For the power supply and motherboard check the user reviews and find reliable ones that don't die on you. Assuming you have an old computer you can re-use everything else. Though blowing $100-$150 on a solid state hard drive might be tempting. You put Windows, your major games, etc. on the disgustingly fast but low capacity solid state hard drive and everything else on a second normal capacity hard drive. But ya all this is way overkill for the games you have listed. Go get the $30 video card and you're golden for those.

laptop expenditures do not substitute plenty over the years. there could be some greater cost reductions after Christmas, yet just to rid of previous fashions. you're able to desire a clean variety. living house windows vista isn't getting heavily greater suitable over the close to destiny. What you will desire to ask your self is do you surely desire a clean laptop now, or can it wait. The longer you wait, the greater suitable the laptop you may locate the money for. there's no terrific time to purchase a working laptop or laptop. i could wait a pair months however, so which you do not finally end up with leftover desktops no person else wanted.

This is far from a gaming computer. Radeon HD 4200!! You expecting to play games on this mediocre card? Also the CPU is in the low end.For $700 you can make your own custom gaming computer.

I'd like to think it's fine for the price. The card may be low end but it will still do the job. Just don't expect super high quality people exploding in your face it looks so real quality.

long story short, its not a good GAMING computer. you need a good graphics card

look at something like this:

always build your own computer. you save about 200-400 bucks depending on the build if you dont know how then get something with a good graphics card

It is not a gaming computer. I would never consider buying a computer from a department store. I would buy direct or from a warehouse like newegg.com or tigerdirect.com

No. Processor & video card are both pretty low end

This is a lot better

But personally, I would never buy a desktop. Build it!

1) Best buy WILL rip you off, bar none

2) HP's are shoddy at best

3) Build your own computer

That is all.
