If all you did was change the power supply then it sounds like the power to your hard drive is not connected or you may have loosened the data cable check the cables on the hard drive to make sure they are firmly connected.

If you changed your mobo or hard drive then you have other problems. The E-Machines has a proprietary bios/mobo and the OS you have is for an E-Machines comp.

If your pushing the start button then the front panel connections are ok..........unless you have them crossed up.

You are looking in the wrong place. Make sure IDE 1 cable is hooked to the hard drive and the jumper is set to master. IDE 2 is where the optical drive should be, and set to master. Then enter the bios on boot {usually f8} and make sure the HD is first in the boot order followed by the optical drive. Save the changes, exit, and it should boot.

Reboot and Select proper Boot device

youre going to have to go into the BIOS menu by pressing DELETE or one of the F keys when you first start your computer. When you get to the BIOS screen you're going to have to find where to set your boot sequence. usually found in advanced settings. In the boot sequence you should set your CD ROM as the first, hard drive as the second. try this.

If your computer is turning on, then your LEDS and power SW cables are not the reason why its not working.
