Well e-machines are definately a very low brand name (junk). Dell has a high reputation for quality, but you had better speak Hindi if you need service. HP and Compaq are the same thing, Compaq being a subsidary of HP, they both are ok products with good support. Gateway seems to be an all around decent company with decent products (a little better than HP).

In summary, if you can do your own technical support and can afford the price tag, then go Dell. If you want Good support and a reliable computer go Gateway, I have had problems with both HP and Compaq (I actually threw a $3500 Compaq laptop out an 8th story window at college), but their service is good and have a decent price. Buy a typewriter instead of an e-machine.

Please note that HP is actually my company's biggest customer, so I am not just saying this out of feelings toward the company. If you want to help me out buy HP! They pay my bills!

you will definately word an progression. think of of a working laptop or computing device as some guy doing learn for a paper. He pulls the books he desires from the stacks and arrays them on a table or Carral (or regardless of they call those issues). The table holds fewer books than the stacks, yet those there are quite much thoroughly accessible. Getting an better table potential that he will have the flexibility to have greater books accessible without the time-ingesting potential of going returned and forth to the stacks finding the marvelous e book. extremely of a table and the stacks, think of of RAM and the HD. Your computing device plenty a application with in basic terms the marvelous volume of records into RAM - something must be pulled from the HD that's slower than RAM. increasing RAM will advance the quantity of records your computing device has at a nanosecond's word to run application's with. based on the version between ability of RAM and its velocity, the honestly distinction won't be that substantial. in spite of the fact that, i at the instant doubled my RAM to a GB and located my gadget works lots smoother.

They all are strong, it just depends what CPU and other stuff are in it... But I would go HP, or DELL because they have the better prices for right now, and have better service for when stuff screws up
