I bought a Dell Optiplex 360 Desktop, It came with a 235 watts power supply but i think that's not enough power for a good graphics card, so I wanna know if this one im thinking in buying will work?

Hello Eduardo Javier,

I am from Dell Social Media and Community.

Dell Optiplex 360 comes in 2 variants, Desktop chassis and Mini-Tower Chassis.

If you have the Desktop chassis this will work.

It is unusual to see a power supply with an 8-pin CPU power cable and NOT a 4-pin CPU power cable. But typically, the 8-pin cable is actually a modular 4+4 pin cable. Examine your 8-pin cable. It probably slides apart in the middle of the end connector to make (two) 4-pin CPU cables. If your power supply really has an 8-pin connector that is not modular, see if you have room beside the 4-pin connector (on the motherboard) to leave 4 pins hanging. That won't hurt anything as long as the side you plug in is wired the same as the 4-pin connector the motherboard is expecting...and as long as there are no other components nearby to damage or short out.

Why do you plan on upgrading your power supply? Are you getting new hardware? Is your computer crashing? Also, you should probably aim to get a higher wattage than that if you're going to the trouble of upgrading.
