I try to install my NIC driver and it says I need intel PRO how do I get that?

I reformatAtted my computer with windows so and now I use the utilities disc to try and download the drivers and when I try to download my NIC driver I think it's called it says it failed because my computer does not have an intel PRO adapter





Help please?

Go to your computer's manufacturer website and download all the drivers directly from them. I you need any other utility or any hardware is not detected, they will tell you. Write it down and then locate the drivers manually.



Also, make sure that you are not trying to install drivers for a different device (NIC) than the one you actually have.

From the sound of it you are trying to install the drivers for an Intel Pro NIC and your computer doesn't have one anymore.



Try downloading a program called Unknown Devices, it is not being developed anymore, but is still a good program. It will list all devices that do not have drivers installed and tells you what it is so you can search for the right drivers.

Obviously if your computer is not connected to the internet you will need to download it on another computer and move it over with a flash drive.

that means you are attempting to install an "Intel PRO" driver and you do not have that hardware in the computer. you need to find out what kind of network card you have. i suggest using the PC manufacturers website to determine the model.
