That depends... What do you want to use the computer for? If you just want to surf the web, check email, and work in Microsoft Office, you can get a great desktop for $800. If you want a gaming PC, then your choices are a lot more limited, though you can get a decent gaming desktop for ~$800.

Let us know what types of uses you'll want the computer for, and we'll give you some more specific recommendations. :-)

A copy of Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit (OEM version) is about $99.99. I also didn't include speakers since (a) the monitor has built-in speakers, crappy as they probably are, and (b) you should hear them for yourself before buying.

Hope that helped!

You can get a whole package for under $800 and even one that gets good video. However, for that price you will get light gaming, don't expect to be playing the latest and greatest first person shooters with the graphics cranked high.

That being said, nowadays you can get really nice all in one PC's. Basically, they take a 20 or 21" screen and put the computer in behind it so you do not have to have a separate desktop. I will give you a link that has some of these on Amazon. Some of them have Intel HD graphics or a Radeon mid level graphics card - look for one with a 1080p display for movies (there are quite a few on there that have that for less than $800.

Build your own! Cheapest way and buy a monitor in the local electrical store or at amazon. Pcs are not hard to build!

Could you maybe though add more details, do you want it for gaming? or just basic use?
