Hello!

I have a problem accessing my BIOS SETTINGS on my Gigabyte H61M-DS2. Every time I press on any of the Function Keys during the POST it will HANG like forever. In other words I cannot access the BIOS Setup for some Unknown Reasons. I can log on to Windows, I can browse the Net & Play Games. So far no Generated Error from the System.

I Bought this computer just a week ago, I examined it Including the BIOS Settings to familiarize myself and It works Perfectly. However the OS is not included on the package so I installed an OS when i got Home. I immediately divide the HDD into 2 Partitions to separate Large Sized Programs & Games to the Local C:

So, I restarted the PC and decided to take a look back on the BIOS Settings to make myself familiarize on the new BIOS Environment. But then when I pressed DEL or any of the Function Keys during POST my computer Hangs. I don't know whats the root of this problem, I already ask for a Technical Support on my MOBO Manufacturer 2 day's ago but I haven't receive any response yet.

Again, I just would like to make it clear that I can log-on to windows, no beeping while the computer is starting, no System Error when i Logged on to Windows, I can browse the Net, I can play Games like nothing to worry.

Below is my Motherboard Short Details:

GA-H61M-DS2
Intel H61/rev.2.1

unplug your computer from all cables especially power and open it up and take out the CMOS battery give it a short circuit then plug the battery back in and close your desktop plug all cables back in and turn it on and see how it works!

dont change the cmos battery, unless you flushed the bios before.

if you do need to, than leave the battery in, and use the CLEAR CMOS JUMPERS!

i doubt that this is your problem, my guess is that you partitioned the hdd wrong.

do this, remove the hdd connecting cable (sata?), and start the computer, if the bios are easy accessible than? ITS THE HARD DRIVE!

One Q.... why partition?

its 2012, the 2 partition story is from windows 95 / 98.

DO NOT partition the drive, it serves no purpose!

a pair issues i can think of of off the appropriate of my head are the jumper putting, could be set to understand or cable choose on an ide force. additionally try resetting BIOS to default values. and you have the ability plug in precise?
