Gerry and a few others had good suggestions.

Simple is the key.

Hardware-

Software-

or drivers.

Start w/ Hware.

DL and run Memtest on your ram. Can be done from floppy Thumb, or Cd.

Bad ram can cause this as well.

Remove ALL devices from the PC and reseat the vid card. I would also suggest grounding to the case and lightly doing a touch test to the heatsink of it to see how hot it is. Not likely the culprit, but ya never know. Check the CPU heatsink to make sure its fins are not clogged up. Redoing the paste is not a bad idea. Powered down, get a flashlight and inspect the board VERY carefully. You are looking for any swollen capacitors ( lil round gizmos like a cigarette butt) You see any that are swelled up or have ANY trace of a brown liquid around or on em.. then the board is on borrowed time. There has been a rash of bad caps on Intel boards. I have a dead Gigabyte board. Imagine that.

When you get to software, ( also not the likely culprit...) Remove any recent proggies, and ensure ALL drivers are correct and up to date. Could this be a prob with the raid controller? Maybe. There is some merit to that. I suspect the board is going belly up, or the Cpu. Board 60% Raid 20% Cpu20%

the cpu sounds like something is wrong there. Try reinstalling the cpu and the thermal compound. Do hot use to much. I prefer a fan that already has that stuff on it but thats just me. Just apply alittle dab. Not a glob.

try resetting the BIOS to default - using hardware reset option - see mobo manual.

It sounds like the CPU is failing or is not getting cooled properly. You could try to remove the CPU cooler and reseat it to the CPU using thermal compound.

Have you gotten the Blue Screen of Death(BSOD) if so it could be a fatal error and depending on the code you will need to do a certain action. If not I would check how hot your computer is getting and make sure all the cooling fans are functioning. Make sure you dont have your computer set on long carpet or that can really over heat your computer. If that doesnt help

Since you can see the POST test on the screen, then we can eliminate some things right away: The BIOS itself, the video card, the CPU and RAM are probably all functioning OK. (At least the first MB of RAM is functioning. You didn't say if the power-on self test checks the RAM.)

I would think at this point that the boot process should be passing control to the RAID disk controller so that it can load the boot record from the primary partition on the first drive.

You have a number of options about what to test now, but I would simplify, simplify, simplify. Since your drives are mirrored, I would consider breaking the mirror and trying to boot from just one drive. If that doesn't work, try the other drive. If the problem persists with either drive, then I would think the problem lies with the controller.

The RAID configuration utility on the PC has the settings to turn your PC into a non-mirrored array.
