If the hard drive is physically damaged by the header scratching the surface of the disks, it's almost impossible to retrieve data by conventional means.

What do you mean by a crashed hard drive? Is it still recognized when the PC starts up/in the BIOS? If not, then you might try an external enclosure (low chances) or you can contact a data recovery company, but the data recovery cost is several hundreds or thousands of dollars.

Thats a solid question,, lol i on no account seen that,, have u disposed of the no longer basic force? that is achievable to attach the force as a slave and reproduction ur music information,,, usually its in simple terms the MBR on a force thats crashed and not the 'force' yet whilst that's a IDE force u can connect it to the extra connector on the ribbon and skim it like a ordinary force,,yet thats a guideline that's achievable the force is thoroughly zapped if so i could call apple they could desire to have a answer for that

You can try cloning the drive. There is free software for this at http://jergen.info. If you have problems, you can contact me directly at http://www.data-recovery-labs.com
