Problem with computer after running dban ?

I just erased my hard drive with dban. When I try to restart the computer the screen is blank and I can't access BIOS. What is the most likely problem?

Basic computer information:
Dell dimention 4550
Nvidia video card
Pentium 4 processor

You should be able to access the BIOS. Even if the HDD got fried, you shouldn't have issues access the BIOs...

Dban completely wipes the Hard drive. The reason you cannot access the BIOS or anything is because Dban deleted the files needed to run it. Your hard drive is just like new. No files! What you have to do is re-install all of the drivers and the OS. Your computer usually comes with a disc that includes all of the drivers and the OS. If you don't have that disc, or your computer never came with one, you will have to contact your Computer manufacture and ask for the disc. After you have the disc, put it in the CD drive and start up your computer. It usually takes a couple of hours to install the drivers and OS.

Put the recovery disk in the rom drive and reboot.If you see a message about booting to cd rom hit the space bar or any key.



If that doesn't work open the case and remove the bios battery for 10 minutes and reinstall it.

boot with the recovery disk in the drive.
