Is there anything i can do to reduce(to about 750) the price of this PC build but keep the performance?

PSU can use a 500W 80+ certificate if you only use 1 GPU card. Trust me, i use the same build as

yours. But if you plan to crosfire, 650W is a good choice. Your choice doesn't have 80+ certificate, only self claim.

Win XP was not efficient enough to manage 4 core. Yes you can use the old hard drive if it has sata connection.If its an ide connection, you can't.

ADDED:

Listen to PTRP's suggestion. i5-2500k with almost the same price is far better than X4-970 (almost double or even more). Intel has better performance with crossfire. The only thing that PTRP's miss is the PSU, 650W is a must for future crossfire. Use my suggestion for the PSU, other use PTRP's.

The price comes to about $725.. do you mean after shipping? Well, you don't need a 650W power supply; at most a 600W would be good. Everything else is about as low as you can get without losing performance. You can reuse your old hard drive, but you would need to reinstall Windows, which would require the installation disc + the serial number, which I doubt you still have.

@vbgolf00 The case isn't just about being fancy, though. The air flow, fans, and cable management are very important in a case.

If you need to lower the price by $70, you're going to lose performance. So you might want to save up if you still want those parts.

well, in a PC's performance(gaming and others), the processor, GPU, RAM (more than 8 gb is utter useless) are the essentials. here are my suggestions:

all came from newegg except the 2500k (microcenter).

EDIT : well friend, you should have stated on your question from the start that you are from canada so that I could've get the prices at newegg.ca (canada), basically the prices of newegg canada is a little higher like the HD6850 is $150 at the states and $160 at canada, while the 2500k is $220 at states and $230 st canada. sad to say, I think microcenter doesn't ship to canada.

Do you need that big of a hard drive? Consider going 250GB or 320GB if you have an external drive or just won't be putting that many files and junk on your computer. Also, you may not need that nice of a case.

Im sure you can find better prices and parts on newegg.

And yes, you can use your old HD, but you may need to re-install the OS.
