well basicly i have my samsung c350 phone connect by a usb cable to my laptop i always get stuff off my laptop to my phone (music) by clicking send to Disk d or whatever, however just now it is saying as i try seding stuff it says 'the root of drive Dis foratted with the FAT file system and can only store a limited number of items store the items in a sub folder , or reformat the drive using the NTFS file system' how do i do this? what doe it mean? the music is in my documents and videos? and also i have a large memory cardin my phone with load of free memory ut its still sayig this, i think ,my phone is only using the phone memory but im not sure well . HELP? thanks

Try setting the phone to use the card memory. Then check if you can transfer files to it again. Fat should be no problem, all memory sticks use fat. I'm think or virus or full.



Before you format, try copying your existing data from the card to your pc, to see if that works, and also backing it up on the process. because if you format your card you will lose all your data on it.

Personally I found it easier to format the memory card in the phone, then temporarily remove from the phone and place in a card reader on the PC. If it is micro-flash, you can get an adapter (if yours didn't come with it) to use with a standard flash card port.

Connect your phone in DATA STORAGE MODE. Then Format your mobile phone's card, using the NTFS file system.



Right click on the drive with the card, format , format with NTFS. ( do a quick format ).
