it's a good deal for a built unit. Is there a sale dell alot of times has big discounts wait for this if it doesn't have a discount now. Personally i build my own and i don't like integrated anything because i upgrade as well. If you're gonna buy another computer instead of upgrading this is a good deal but remember to look for discounts.

hi gh3, sounds like a very good deal cause an intel core 2 quad is normal the cache does not matter but the monitor is 22inches is a very good price cause just for the wide screen is normally $349.00 daul channel is normal and the 500gb is good for a harddrive. the only thing i would change is if you are playing video games insist on a 8800gts ot 8800gtx graphic board but the 7.1 speakers is great the 7.1 is how many speakers you have. i would ask for a 2 year warranty thats normal. and phone support is that if you are having a problem and you need help you dial 800-624-9896 or 9897 and you get twenty-four hour tech support over the phone. but this is a very good deal but with the economy as bad as it is the saleman will bend over backward so make it hard on him to make the deal and you will get more. but dell is the best computer on the market now for the bad part to dell if you buy from dell always you have to buy parts from dell. it is a very handsome package but i would insst on the 8800gts graphics and the two year warranty. good luck hope i have been helpful to you

It is a good deal.

Firstly Core 2 Quad Processor gives the optimum performance.

3gb ddr2 RAM should be sufficient for you to run Vista in style.

7.1 audio channel for the best audio.

but dude check the amount of memory offered by the "Integrated Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 3100".

Since its integrated check out for the memory.

apart for that you are gettin one of the best.

That's pretty good price for a quad core. The speed for most quads are 2.4Ghz. 8MB is plenty. All new computers have Vista Premium SP 1. 22inch is good but what's the resolution and brand? 3GB of RAM will be good for a couple of years, 500GB is a lot. 7.1 channel audio is always nice if you want some 7.1 speakers later on.

The graphics card is a little low though, but it should be able to do most things. Might want to get a cheap..or pricey.. ATI or GeForce card..

Take it.

If you built it including monitor and os. You could get it for about $100-$200 cheaper. But for Dell yea thats a pretty good deal.

I'm not sure about the onboard video though.

without monitor the unit if you build it will be about 300

maybe a little less and the monitor should run you about 200-275 so id say your getting hosed but

thats just a suggestion
