It mostly depends on your OS. Win XP is very light, and only requires 512mb or so to run well. Vista x86 is a resource hog, x64 even more so.

The sweet spot seems to be Win 7 x86. It only requires 1GB RAM minimum.

I'd avoid Win 7 x64 though. For everyday activities, 2GB is enough to run 64-bit Win7, but add gaming to that, and it'll bottleneck you. Win 7 x64 takes up almost 1GB RAM by itself.

If you are only running 2GB of RAM, then I recommend that you don't put Windows 7 on it as 2GB is the absolute minimum requirements. Put Windows XP and it'll run smoother.

However, I would recommend coughing up the extra $100 to get a PC with a motherboard that is expandable and supports DDR3 RAM. It will serve you much better in the future as all you will have to do is upgrade as opposed to buy a new PC.

I think its a bad idea about buying a computer with only 2gb of ram, and its not upgradeable because sooner or later u will need more ram for newer games. Just buy a COMPUTER whose ram can be easily upgraded when needed.

sure

see mw2 requirements

OS: Microsoft Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7 (Windows 95/98/ME/2000 are unsupported)

Processor: Intel Pentium 4 3.2 GHz or AMD Athlon 64 3200+ processor or better supported

Memory: 1 GB RAM

Graphics: 256 MB NVIDIA GeForce 6600GT or better or ATI Radeon 1600XT or better

DirectX: Microsoft DirectX(R) 9.0c

Hard Drive: 12GB of free hard drive space

Sound: 100% DirectX 9.0c compatible sound card

Internet: Broadband connection required for Multiplayer Connectivity. Internet Connection required for activation

it only require 1gb of so 2 gb is enough

i suggest buy a good gfx card if u are a gamer

I will most likely work. However personally I had rather have at least 4 GB of Ram.
