Honestly I wouldn't pay anymore than $100 for it. Why? The processor is far too old, it will fail run games that even the simplest desktop can, and the hard drive is way too low. Also being an ASUS motherboard, I know the brand particularly well and they have driver issues. Office is too old, 2003 is way outdated. Maybe you could do something with the ram, but honestly it doesn't really matter about the 'Condition' as such, as long as there are no signs of interior damage to any of the components.

To bring it up to speed, you would need to replace the mother board, add an i Processor. Buy windows 7, up the graphics card to a Nivida 1 GB, increase the HDD to 1tb and buy and install the current microsoft office. So, basically get a new computer.

Maybe a couple of old people would want it.

no one in their right mind would pay $300+ for that, $100-150 sounds about right, excepting the occasional uninformed buyer on craigslist or something. You might actually get more parting it out, DDR2 ram gets a pretty good price these days, for example.

If there's no pressing need for the money, you could consider donating it to goodwill or something.

Roughly in the area of 150$, give or take. I personally would pay no more than 100$. The old single core processor (which was a budget processor even back in its day) and old video card are whats getting you.

I don't know what kind of credentials you are looking for other than someone who knows the value of computer parts.

did you understand the kind kind? it truly is going to be something like MB402*/A or MB403*/A or MB404*/A. even if it truly is its well worth about 500, yet set it up for a auction and wait a pair days to make certain what takes position

I've seen computers 3x faster than that go for $150.

...so, $50.

You might find a dummy to pay more.
