Hello Computer experts out there ...
I got a doubt, last week i configured and purchased a desktop and i was particular about the processor that it should be Dual Core(because i need that severely ).My system properties from Control panel says its Intel(R)Pentium(R) Dual CPU but when its boots up the start up screen says "Memory is running in single channel"...Does that means the system is not under Dual core Processor ?...then what s the meaning of the statement ?...Is that possible to restrict a component property like RAM, processor etc from display in the System property ?

It just means that your memory is running in single channel mode. It has nothing to do with your processor. You need two sticks of memory of the same type to run in dual channel mode and they need to be installed in the correct ram slots.

Your RAM is single channel it is normal and you can not restrict componets.
