My desktop is blank what should i do?

I can't access anything on my desktop not even the start menu what should i do its completely blank

So take it you can view the screen does windows load in if it does then you may be able to access the explorer bar. Use ctrl alt del file new task and run and go from there. I take it you are not using your computer to type this question

Try restarting it in safe mode and then do a system restore to a point where the computer worked properly. (assuming you have windows xp).

If safe mode is not an option, then try booting to the command prompt and then doing a systerm restore.

If either of those options don't work then either format and reload, or call a local tech (ex. Geek Squad).

either restart or try right clicking:



Arrange Icons By >> Show Desktop Icons



*maybe someone accidently disabled it from showing up

First install OS, if you didn't installed one.



If you are using some OS try to restart it.
